What is the rash on my baby's face? I took him to the doctor and they said it could be a food allergy.?

I have took all foods away and he still has the rash. It is about the size of a penny. I have been treating it with Cortaid 2 times daily which makes it go away but as soon as I stop using the cream it comes back! Could it be associated with teething? He is 7 months old and has had it for about a month and half now.

i personally have ecxema, and honestly it sucks. but,its hard to tell at a young age,but i got it when i was born, but it can develop.i use lubriderm and then some olay stuff, and it helps a little.ecxema never goes away which you may be informed of but it can be taken care of so it isn't as noticable. take your baby to a dematologist, and they will know what it is,i promise you.tell them that one doctor said it cold be a food allergy, but you took away the food ect. but say that your not sure if its ecxema.
Hoppe this helps!

My son had something similar and it was diagnosed as exczema. I was instructed to use Eucerin (or a generic brand) of cream on the area and in time, it would go away. Congratulations on your new little love.

Sounds like eczema. Check behind his knees ans in the crooks of his elbow to see if there are any other spots. It could be due to teething if saliva is drying his skin out.

it could be eczema. all three of my kids had it .. ask for some cream such as elidel.. always keep it moisturized.. its should clear up...i also used hydrocortizone
