I think my puppy may have allergies?

Ever since we brought him home..he snezzes and sniffles his eyes kinda run and he coughs..what can the vet do for allergies..will he ever grow out of them...or will they go away

hes a mix hes lab/pointer/pitbull

You need to see the vet and find out what exactly is wrong, it could be seasonal allergies, similar to hayfever.
Sneezing can indicate a respiratory disease and a runny nose can indicate a virus, so you really need to see the vet and find out the cause of the problem.
My Lab suffers a dust allergy and also seasonal allergies and is given monthly injections and antihistamines to help control it.
If it is allergies the vet can diagnose it and give the correct treatment.

It might be allergies, but it could also be a respiratory infection.

Your vet could diagnose it, either way, but the treatments are different.

There is really nothing you can do for your pup on your own, so you really need to have your vet take a look.

Some dogs do suffer from allergies, sometimes seasonal, sometimes more generalized, all their lives.

An infection, though, requires an antibiotic to clear it up.

It's definitely possible that he has season allergies. My dog does. She gets itchy skin and watery eyes and sneezes a lot. Our vet told us to give her regular Benadryl, two pills at a time, 2-3 times a day, and to put saline drops in her eyes (NOT Visine, just the saline drops). It seems to help. But definitely check with your vet before you try any at-home remedies.

Do you smoke cigarettes? My min pins get watery eyes because we do but the vet said its fine just dont fill the room with smoke hehe. But what breed is he? Some dogs naturally have runny eyes and a vet can give him a shot or pills if he does have them

You can get him some pills at the vet. My puppy used to have allergies around fall time, and we had to give her pills wrapped in cheese so she would eat it. Hahah.
