Weaning and allergies?

I have currently started weaning my baby and currently just doing simple things ie baby rice cereal fruit and veg puree etc. Yesterday I gave her carrott and just had a small rash on her torso, and today I gave her califlower and sweet potatoe and her rash is more red, it just appears to be a sweat rash. She did have a virus last week which she is over now. How do I know if I should avoid these foods? or is it just a coinsedence?? any help would be great!

The allergy generally doesn't start to show up until after the second time she eats it. My son had a small rash after eating carrots but never had it again, same thing w/ avocados. My boys doctor said it was more of a sensitivity, not an allergy. W/ a true allergy, there is more of a hives type rash. I would avoid those foods for now and try again later.

It could very well be the carrots. My kids were all sensitive to carrots till 18 mos - 2 yrs. They had that bright red raw rash if they had any.
Cauliflower shouldnt be given until after 12 mos - it's a really gassy food, not many nutrients anyway. Same with broccoli, peppers, brussel spouts, cabbage, etc... Sweet potato and squashes are good orange/yellow veggies to start with! Green beans, peas, potatoes, easy things are best!
