I think I have a food allergy and I take lamictal. Is it safe to take a benadryl?

I had crab cakes for dinner and just started taking Lamictal four days ago. Do you think its the crab or meds? Is it safe to take a benadryl?

According to this Yahoo Health article, Lamictal can cause a rash. But, you shouldn't just stop taking it. What you should do is call the pharmacy where you got your prescription, ask to speak to the pharmacist, tell her your symptoms, and ask her if you can take Benadryl with the medication. You can talk to the pharmacist for free, and she'll let you know if you need to follow up with your doctor. I hope this helps.
