How do I cure my dog's allergies?

My 1-old-yorkie, I think, has allergies.
He is sneezing and coughing.
And he has been diarrheaing a lot.
He has also been scratching a bit.
If it is allergies, how do I cure them?
If you don't think it is, what is it?

thanks!

he also has a lot of eye discharge.

I would see your vet- dogs can be allergic to all the same things humans are. It mostly effects their skin- so it all may not be allergies.
Your vet can either do tests or refer you to a derm. vet for treatment-
You can't cure allergies- it is all about control
the sooner you can to that- the less pain for your pet
and the better longterm for your checkbook

Grains in the diet are normally the culprit.
I personally feed raw, so I know what my dogs are eating. Look for a dog food, evo is one that I know of, that is grain free or try feeding raw. www.rawfed.com/myths, www.rawmeatybones.com, www.bigdogsporch.com(they like small dogs too)

I think that you have to find out what the dog is allergic to. Remove the allergen and then treat the allergic response symptoms and you are good ..

my dog is severely allergic to plastic, the only treatment was to remove all plastic from her reach including dog house, bowls, toys and everything
