Does eating honey harvested locally in your living area help with preventing allergy flare-ups?

Can eating honey harvested from bees that feed from local trees in your area help prevent allergy flare-ups like hayfever?

I've heard that one. Supposedly honey that is made with pollen from local flowers will help your allergies. I've tried it. I moved from Tennessee, where I had very little allergy issues, to Connecticut, where I've suddenly had a TON.

It didn't make too much of a difference, I have to say. I tried all sorts of locally made honey and havn't noticed anything change at all.I have not heard this one before. But honey has many healing properties.

What I do know. is eating a Tablespoon of Raw honey everyday will ward off diabetis. Raw honey feeds the pancreas (where your body's natrual insulin is created) so that the pancreas works properly and doesn't over or under insulate the body.
