What is the over-the-counter drug that is best for common allergy symptoms like runny nose, itchiness etc?

I have runny nose, sneezing, itchiness around my eyes

Benadryl has been the most effective for me, but I use it only if I have time to take a nap after taking it -- it knocks me out.
Benadryl ....liquid or tablets ... you choose
I use Claritin, because it works for around 12-24 hours and is non-drowsy. Be aware, though, that drug stores will have you sign out to buy it and they'll only give you a certain amount at one time, because kids have been buying it in large quantities to make homemade meth. For nighttime, Benadryl works well. The antihistamines should dry up the sneezing and runny nose (which may also be causing post-nasal drip, something that causes you to have an irritating non-productive dry cough) and take the itch out of your eyes.
i like Allegra and Singulair. I do NOT like Benadryl- it completely disorients me even a day later.
i'm allergic to eeeeverything
yup benadryl works like a charm. i take the tablets
Different drugs work for different people, but these are what my husband and I (major allergy sufferers) find helpful:
Chlor-trimeton, Claritin, or a generic version of either. Good luck!
