Serious only, my doctor said hard cheeses can be eaten with a milk allergy. If so, what specific ones...?

My son just got tested and has milk allergies, he was being cranky and wanted to leave and the doctor said something about hard cheese, he could have. I've looked on the net and found nothing. Doctor out of town. My son wants some cheese, is there any safe?

If he has a milk allergy and not lactose intolerance, there is NO cow cheese he should eat-- not even the hard ones.

My kids are allergic to cow's milk, so we get goat cheese or sheep's cheese at Trader Joe's. Source(s): Many years of dealing with food allergies
