I just got a flu shot. How come doc asks if you have any allergy to eggs or chickens?

The vaccines base is made of albumin, a protien found in eggs... If you are allergic to chickens or eggs, then you will have a reaction to the flu vaccine.
The vaccine is cultured in eggs and some people, who are allergic to eggs, can be allergic to the vaccine.
I'm assuming that the injection has an egg or chicken protein base to it. Some injectable drugs are a horse serum base. Certain animal serums are better absorbed by the human body. Anyway, they ask so that they canmake sure you don't have a severe allergic reaction like anaphylaxis, which is a respiratory reaction that can cause your throat to swell shut. If it is not treated quickly, death is the likely result.
Now see here, !@-Farts-@! Moves around a little
see we use eggs to make it and do you happen to want an allergic reaction?
