To cool my body, I fill the bathtub with just enough cool water to cover my legs. I sit for about 10 minutes. As the blood circulates through my legs, it cools down my whole body after a while. It also is less 'shocking' than immersing yourself in a full cold bath.

The burning and itching does sound like an allergic reaction or it could be an infection. See your doctor asap. This condition is probably causing a fever, which you feel as burning?

When you see your doctor be prepared to tell him/her when theses symptoms began and any other symptoms you may be having. Weight loss, is your vision affected, etc? You could have a serious conditon which left untreated could cause further damage.
have bath daily in the night...and better consult a skin specialist
take bath in cold water. apply prickly heat powder.
i would go to the doctor and ask him. Mayber your allergic to whatever you wash your sheets in.
Kind of hard to answer since I don't know your age, if you have pets that get on the bed, etc. You could possibly have allergies to whatever substance your mattress or bed linen consist of. But I find that a cool shower and apply some Gold Bond medicated powder works. Also I use the shampoo Selsun Blue to bathe with when I get the night-time burning and itching. Seems to work. If none of this helps then yah, get in touch with a dermatologist. Oh and also you might try changing your laundry soap. I cannot use any with perfumes..have to buy the unscented.
u may be having fungal infection, see a doc., if a female ,r u nearing menopause . if not ie young or in reproductive age, take cetrizine tab.for cooling inside ,take waterlemon.consult ur doc.for infection
A cool bath with baking soda can help with the itching. You may have an allergy to the laundry soap used to wash your linen, body soap if you shower at night before bed, dust mites if your mattress is old. You could take an allergy pill before bed for a few nights to see if the itching goes away. Good luck.
