Why would my asthma worsen so severely in the last 2 months? I live in N Florida- allergy tests show nothing.? |
I've had asthma all my life. I'm 26 years old. In the last 2 months, it's gotten much worse. Nothing major has changed and allergy test show nothing. Just 2 months of chest pains - thought I was having a heart attack, even. Hospital visit proved otherwise. Can't hardly breathe. 2 Xrays are clear. Lung function @ 40%...currently sick/lots of mucus/blood...any theories out there as to what would cause acute chest pain an worstening asthma in the last 2 months? Meds: Advair, Xopenex. *Past Triggers: Stress/Weather (never many allergies - testing yesterday reconfirmed this) *Mucus is awful at night/in the morning - spots of blood now in mucus (maybe coughing so hard?) *Bad wheezing (mainly @ night - during the day sounds "clear" to docs) *Chest pain is a squeezing feeling in center of chest- worse when lying down/on side - no evidence of cardiac issues, and asthma is much worse (2 docs suspect asthma likely a strong tie to chest pain) *I don't smoke. Nobody in my house smokes. You might be suffering from Aspartame Poisoning. Do you drink 'Diet Croak'? Source(s): http://www.sweetpoison.com Get checked for Lupus, Air quality! I would imagine its air quality, such as pollution or pollen etc. A friend of mine is in the same boat you are. She cant breathe and has no source other than shes asthmatic. Be sure to be checked out for a pullmonary embolism. That can be life threating and a possible cause for your lack of lung capacity. Also, my friend has "EE size" breasts. Her doctor told her that a reduction in breast size may help her to breath a little better but is not the SOURCE of her problem. Good luck!
