I accidentally put my elbow on a slug ! Have been left with inflamed & blistered elbow! is this an allergy.?

I put my elbow on a slug, accidentally, the slug wasnt harmed - but there was a large wet patch where it had been. It was attached to my elbow area. I knocked it off & saw the critter slide off. Shortly after my elbow was stinging and burning. It now looks as though I have burnt it, its still stinging, looks blistered and is warm to touch. I wondered if slug slime contains some kind of venom or if it could be an allergic reaction. Odd or what !

it probably doesnt. but you never know, so be safe and visit the doctor ;)
That does sound like an allergic reaction. Take some Benadryl or equivalent antihistimen, it should help with the irritation. You should also apply some anti-septic to the effected area if your skin was punctured.

If the symptoms continue after 12 hours, you should see a doctor.
It's a secretion from the slug. Self defense reaction.
that's strange. I was in the vets clinic and a slug came in saying that he has a blister on his head...coincidence??? I think not.
Sounds like an alergic reaction. Piriton works for me but before you take any medicine consult pharmacist/doctor ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ON ANY OTHER MEDICATION
This is not to be conStrued as medical ADVICE AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL
its not allergy im 100% sure
show it to doc
i think its bacterial action
