Of and on bad cough for 2 weeks accompanied by mucus spit up. Goes away W/OTC drugs. Is it an allergy?

That has been going around, I have had it for about the same amount of time. The doctor said it just has to run its course. Lay off dairy products because they increase the mucus production and try not to "Over hack" just spit out what is easily coughed up. It will go away soon enough. If you are a smoker it will take a little longer. Source(s): My doctor said so.
