Blood test on dog to diagnose allergy?

Can the vet perform a blood test to find out what my dog is allergic to?
My dog has had a rash that comes and goes. The vet said he is allergic to something, but doesn't know what! I've been trying to figure out what he is allergic too, but nothing seems to work! I think the easiest way would be a blood test if its possible! Help!

There are many test they can do to determind allergies especially from foods. I had some done and my dog has sever allergies to chicken, rice, beef, carrots, and wheat. He was licking his paws all the time and itching like crazy. No fleas. Sometimes even if a dog is on a flea treatment and they get bit by just one little flea it can cause a dermatitis. Could be enviorment or food. I would ask the vet to pinpoint it if possible. Keep in mind though bloodwork for pets is very costley. Good luck. Can also try different shampoos that soothe allergy prone skin as well as meds.

The vet would be the one to do the allergy test.

My vet also told me my dog has allergies but I didn't do the allergy test but I was feeding crappy food but now I am feeding them Canidae its wheat free and I think its helping
