Does my dog have really bad allergies or is she really sick?

Hello, I have a yorkie/poodle mix, who's 2 years old and she hasn't been the same. We were on vacation, and she got out of my uncle's yard. We called the shelter, and they said they have my dog. We picked her up when we came back from vacation, and they had took her to the vet. They gave her the DHLPP vaccine and they said she was healthy and normal. I've noticed between last night and today, she's been acting really sick. She's sneezes a lot more than usual, and has a runny nose, and seems to be hacking every so often. She licks herself all the time? Could her hair be bothering her, or is it a reaction the vaccine. Thanks!

Thanks! I had already called the vet, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences.

You need to call the Vet who gave her the shot or call your vet. When my pups are in need of care I don't ask people in Y/A what I should do. That is my advise. Good luck.

I would take her to your vet for a quick check-up.

call your vet, she could have pick up some sort of funk at the shelter and it just needed time to show itself

hi, I work at a humane society and just adopted a yorkie/poddle mix too!! He is 3 years old. What your dog may have is Kennel Cough, usually treated with Clavamox since your dog is so small. When the DHLPP vaccine is given to dogs under 10lbs it is given without Leptosepriosis and sterile water is used instead. If they gave her Lepto she could be sick from that but the symptoms arent the same. Runny nose, and hacking is definitely a sign of Kennel cough which is like a doggy cold. Take her to your vet and get her some meds. It should clear up in a week or so. Make sure she doesnt spread it to other dogs though, its airborne. Good luck!!
