Bed Bugs, Bird Mites, Dust Mites...or Rosicia!? Did I develop allergies at 40? Please help stop the itching.? |
I've never been allergic to anything and my acne cleared up in my early 20's, so whats this mess? My Husband and Baby are unaffected so far...Thank God. But I keep getting bites(?) on my face mostly. One or two on back and neck, which appeared midday to evening hours. The ones on my face start out as just an itch, progress to a red raised bump and by the next day looks like a small pimple, but still itches. An exterminator came in, found no evidence of Bed Bugs but claims they are probably hiding in the walls and wants to treat. Can anyone out there help shed some light and/or perspective on this annoying mystery. Thanks to all who answered. Meredith I felt much better after reading yours, I'm off to a allergist & vet for my cats next week. Thanks so much! Bed bugs usually bite in a pattern of 3. Exterminating bed bugs can be very expensive and stressful. Before doing that I would go see a doctor and have them confirm that they are bed bug bites. Your doctor will recognize the bed bug bite pattern. hi try to ventilate your home and open the windows let the air and light come through for the day that will clear any hazardousness in your home and try to vacuum your bed with the vacuum machine that will clear any thing that making the problem best of luck and sleep well Zam, If the bumps are too big to be cause by, say, a negative skin reaction to a new fabric softener, AND they itch, then there is a good chance that small bugs are to blame. I've heard that bed bugs are pretty crazy on the rise in the US, and if that's what you have, you want to get rid of it ASAP. If your husband sleeps in the same bed as you, then it's strange he doesn't have bites, too. You could try switching sides of the bed and see if he gets bit, and if so, then it's pretty likely that's what they are. |
