My husband had a cortisone shots for allergies? |
He was wanting to know how long they last and if it is safe to have a few drinks with it? He had this shot early this morning. They gave the shot in his hip and he says it still hurts. If you know anything about these shots please let me know. I looked it up on yahoo search and i all i could find was shots for arthritis. Any advice? thanks. Don't worry about anything. Those shots are great. In fact I always try to get one, they reduce the swelling in the sinus cavity. And yes he can have a drink with this. Cortisone reduces swelling in joints and hence that is why you found info on arthritis. Look up prednisone on Wikipedia and it will explain a lot about this type ofcortisonen. And yes thiscortisonee shots do tend to hurt a couple of days. Hope he is feeling better. I have to take steroids for allergies sometimes and also when I have allergic reactions to something,they calm the system down so it won't be so reactive to everything.As far as drinking after a steroid shot I don't know but you could call your Pharmacist and ask them,they will know.Hope he feels better real soon. |
