Can my cat allergies lower my immune system?

I owned a cat for about a year now and although I've stopped sneezing and having itchy eyes from him months ago I wonder if he's the reason for my frequent colds. I'm also an asthmatic and I have eczema so I'm wondering if the symptoms have manifested in a different way. Within the past year, I've had so many cold and rashes. Lately, I've been coughing up a lot of green mucous but I'm feeling better. What do you think?

yes, definitely

No, however you can pass on any illnesses you are carrying via sneezing. Watch out!
