What allergy medicine could I take without getting nose bleeds? |
I have taken quite a few of the name brand allergy medicines including prescription and I get the same results. It completely dries out my nose and causes multiple nose bleeds. But if I don't take medicine for my allergies I still have major problems all day.Any answers would be truly helpful. Thanks! This is a common side effect of many allergy medicenes. Have you tried using a saline mist nasal spray to moisturize the membranes in your nose while you were on the different meds? You may also consider getting a humidifier (available at drugstores and Walmart) to have in your room at night. Does wonders for this kind of thing. Well, my sister had the same problem, so she switched to Zyrtec, which helped. She also uses Flonase/ Can you run a humidifer in your house for dryness of nose? Did you ever get your nose check by an eye, ear and throat specialist. You should ask for a referral, I use nasonex for my nose when it get irratated. It is going to be my third surgery in regards to a scar tissue issues from my 2 surgeries. Isn't there a nasal spray called Allegra or something like that geared to allergies for the nose/nasals? Is has a steriod in there. Sit down with the doctor and explore some options will minimum side affects. I also suffered the very same problem regarding with my allergic rhinitis. The passages in my nose dries out which is very painful and irritating. I also observed that when my allergiologist prescribed first Flonex, it's more uneffective for me. Now, I'm also using Nasonex and it provides me utmost relief. Also, consider the humidity of the room air that you breathe. I'm suggesting you to have a humidifier to add air moisture. |
