If you have a cat you can buy something to smother the cat in that stops the dander coming off it. We used to have a persian and we used it on that as I have an allergy too. Allergy syrup probably wont be strong enough, but I know that itchy eye, runny nose and closing up eyelids feeling only too well, along with the scratchy hands and hives. You can buy it in Tesco not sure what the name is. Other than that the only remedy is to keep away. Not easy when people have cats and say "They arent in this room" No but their fur and dander is!!!! I have 2 cats & allergies to them. After a full day of allergy suffering (difficulty breathing, & sneezing) I become immune to them again. If I go away for a week & come back, I have the allergies again for a full day, then I'm immune to them again. Although my allergies aren't as severe as some peoples so it all accords to how bad it is, if you can stick it for a day & if you have a good immune response.
