Does allergies cause a low grade fever?

Does allergies cause a low grade fever?

I suffer from horrible allergies...

Not too long ago, during an extended allergy attack (one that lasted for weeks) I ended up with what appeared to be a sinus infection, altho, not all of the classic sinus infection signs where there. My doctor did prescribe an antibiotic which cleared it up.

I'm not a doctor but would recommend you go see one to rule out any infection.

As a side note, I was told that left untreated (and/or un-managed), chronic allergies can lead to asthma. I can see why that could be true because lately my allergy attacks have resulted in me struggling to breathe...My doctor ended up prescribing an inhaler. I only need it occasionally and am really glad I have it during those times!! Source(s): Experience with horrible allergies

yes, and allergies can cause sinus infections and ear infections that will cause low grade fevers.
Yes they can.

But it is more usual for the fever to be caused by an infection.

Hope you are feeling better soon

Yes. The symptomes causes your body to heat up because they are trying to fight the allergies. Your body uses the heat to try to stop the allergies.
