My puppy has allergies, sneezing, etc. not a cold he is very rambuntious, is there a medicine I can give him? |
He is sneezing, coughing, scratching his nose. First, you must take him to a vet. Never give animals, or humans ANY medication, without seeking professional advice. The vet will tell you if it's allergies or something else, how serious it is, and how to treat it. It could be a very mild form of allergy, seasonal, that will pass, and he may be better off with nothing. My dog has wicked allergies, where his skin is all red, and he scratches his ears until blood drips out of them. My vet recommended Claritin, and so far, it's helping. Take your dog to the vet for his opinion. Don't make your own diagnoses. It'll be cheaper in the long run, and healthier for your dog, if you get the right diagnoses. a simple half of a benedryl buy contact your vet before you do Contact the vet... the will tell you what to use for his allergies Take him to the vet to get diagnose to make sure it is allergies. I took my shih tzu to the vet yesterday thinking that he had fleas but found out that he has allergies. Vet reccomended Benadryl added to their food. You need to go to a vet. You can't diagnose your animal. An animal won't act in pain/sick because of pack behavior. This dog could still be sick and be active. Go see a vet. benadryl works great but contact vet for amount to give as it needs to be adjusted by weight.. Yes, it is the season!~~ A half Benedryl or a generic over-the-counter med / similar item is fine - I give this to my dog each year. - The weeds are high this year where I am!! |
