Possible food intolerance or allergy? NEED HELP!?

If i ever eat ANY breakfast cereals with milk about half an hour later i get horrendous indigestion and stomach bloating. i sometimes get this with toast too, but only if i eat in the mornings. i dont drink much milk, but i eat all brown rice, brown pasta and granary bread. no white bleached foods at all. i am wondering if this is a symptom of a food intolerance or allergy? has anyone had a similar experience? i am going to ask my doctor to do some tests but firstly i thought id ask here!

Food intolerance Is a way of saying unable to digest it correctly. That is also the same thing for food allergy.

A reaction to foods can be from not having enough of the specific enzyme to break down the food. It can be a total lack , or a deficiency of degree.

If one is deficient in the B complex vitamin it can cause incorrect digestion in general or specific types of foods. It would react like an allergy, but would disappear when the B vitamin level becomes normal.

A true, permanent allergy to a food is related to enzyme deficiency, and is usually treated by avoidance, and or shots.

There are tests on blood that help sort out true allergies and that combined with a vitamin profile will tell you whether it is a deficiency, or a permanent allergy.
Sounds like it could be a wheat or gluten allergy. i have that. your doc might put you on an exclusion diet to try and work out what it is or order a blood test to rule out coeliac disease (gluten intolerance). do go to the docs and get it sorted, i feel so much better now i know what not to eat!
Yes very possibly, it could be IBS too.
Sounds like lactose intolerance. Avoid all dairy products for 3 days, then have a small glass of milk on an empty stomach.

What are the symptoms of lactose intolerance?

People who do not have enough lactase to digest the amount of lactose they consume may feel very uncomfortable when they digest milk products. Common symptoms, which range from mild to severe, include nausea, cramps, bloating, gas, and diarrhea. Symptoms begin about 30 minutes to 2 hours after eating or drinking foods containing lactose. The severity of symptoms depends on many factors, including the amount of lactose a person can tolerate and a person鈥檚 age, ethnicity, and digestion rate.

cows milk should be for cows, not humans. You are showing classic signs of milk intollerence/allergy. Try switching to soy milk like Alpro.
It sounds like you might have a problem with gluten, if it turns up after you eat cereal with milk, and then also toast without milk.
Try to eliminate milk for a week and see what happens- if you still have the problem, eliminate the wheat products.
Gluten intolerance is very common.
