Allergy help please? |
I have seasonal allergies. i just mowed my yard and can hardly breathe. my question is would it be better to have a window fan or air conditioner at night. the cooler the room the better i sleep. i have been waking up congested. i live in the nevada desert I use the AC. I also have the same problems. You should try getting a NETI POT from your local drug store. Source(s): www.sinucleanse.com I find a fan best, air conditioning makes me feel worse. I would suggest a window AC unit. It will have a filter that will help with allergens. The window fan will just suck in (or let in) outside air. if you use a window fan it will only pull in outside air and not filter it which will cause you to wake up congested. i have terrible season allergies like i am allergic to grass to the point to a hives breakout. i would suggest an ac unit that way the air is filtered through and you are breathing in cool clean air. i hope that your allergies stay calm for you. A/C helps a lot especially when you're congested. I have a hard time breathing humid air w/ allergens. I got a portable a/c unit and it's done me good. It has 3 options, fan, a/c and dehumidifier. This helps rid of the heavy humidity so you can relax cooly. after u mowed, u need to take a shower to wash all the pollen etc off of u. A/c is better in NV than fan... u'r jst blowing all the outside air around inside. Humidifier is good as well. Saline spray... & if u can over the counter meds... like poss. non-drowsey decongestant during the day & Benedryl at nt. Trust me... i live in the desert as well... & have allergies since JR. high... so this has worked well for me & this was stated to me to do from Allergist. |
