Will wearing a mask protect against allergies to dusk/mites?

Kind of like a surgical Mask

As long as you use something to prevent the dust from blowing into your nose; it DEFINITELY helps! I always use a mask when cleaning b/c I am severly allergic to dust mites. You can even buy them at the dollar store. Source(s): Allergy sufferer
No, ordinary surgical masks are very ineffective against such small particles, you would need an industrial type mask to protect against allergens.
some of them yes but remember there are very small particles in the air
A surgical mask will not work. There are masks designed for the purpose you describe. You can order several different types from a company called "NEEDS" in New York. Their phone number is 1-800-634-1380. I personally use the "I Can Breathe Again" silk mask. It works really well for me and is very comfortable.

Best wishes and good luck.
They are many different types of masks on the market. A mask designed for dust would protect. Many people find them beneficial when cleaning.
