I have cat allergies....how do i cure that, since i love cats n have 2 of them in my home?

so far, there is no cure for allergies. there are ways to neutralize your allergic reaction to specific allergens by preventing the chemical reactions that cause them. you can also just treat the symptoms, but that usually involved side effects that may be more unpleasant than the allergy!

you can also do one of the following:

desensitization - getting allergy shots to slowly increase your body's tolerance to certain allergens. this takes a long time but may be successful in ridding you of your symptoms over time if your allergic reaction is not too severe. it also means getting shots several times a week for months or years to build up your tolerance.

treat the symptoms - take over the counter allergy medications to mask the symptoms. or, use prescription meds for the same purpose.

treat the cause - this could be any number of things ranging from getting rid of the cats (yes, I know), keeping your house exceptionally clean and bathing the cats regularly to keep their dander and saliva concentrations down (from licking their fur).

i would recommend taking to an allergist to determine the severity of your allergies and also to make sure the cats are, in fact, what you are allergic to! then, try whatever treatments the allergist recommends and see if you can find one that works for you.

I have a chiropractor who treats all kinds of allergies. If you can find one who does, you will be in good shape. He tests for allergens with a sample bottle of the element and uses applied kinesiology to see if you're allergic to it. Ask on the phone how (if) they treat allergies. Most people don't know that some chiros have this training.
take allergy meds and get rid of those cats.
They now have hypoalergenic cats. They bread them so the dander doesnt bother people. They are only a little more expensive than pure bread cats.

Since you have two in your home, vaccum, dust, and sanatize alot! it will reduce dander in the home.

depending on your age you might not be able to i also have cat allergies but only to certin cats an air purifier and cleaning your hosue very often will help some people are lucky and can take clartin to cure it and it's for allergies take that once a day and you may find that its alot easier but cleaning your room everyother day dusting and not letting them in you rbedroom where you sleep helps get a good vacumme for your allergies i suggest dison(sp?) or a rainbow they are expensive but they work grettt
