Beer Allergy? |
Whenever I drink beer (any kind except corona) I get this extremely full feeling and have a hard time breathing since I feel so full - has anyone heard of this or experienced this? If so is there anything I can take (an supplemental enzyme of some sort) to prevent this feeling? A common ingredient if virtually all beer if gluten (usualy in the form of barley). If u have Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance or an allergy u cannot drink beer (except the gluten free versions) Follow the links I list or email me for more info on Celiac Disease. In a nutshell its an autoimmune disease in which a person cannot digest gluten, a protein in wheat, rye and barley. The only treatment is gluten free diet. Source(s): I run a celiac disease support group www.csaceliacs.org www.celiac.com www.celiac.org www.celiaccentral.org Don't drink beer if it disagrees with you. You might be allergic and next time might not be so lucky - if it makes you have trouble breathing, don't mess with it. corona ugh thats donkey pee One can be allergy to anything. One shouldn't eat or drink things they are allergic to doing so can be life threatening. I would drink only the Corona than and avoid beers that you do get a reaction to. Look at the label on a Corona and a brand that bothers you and conpare what ingredients are different, you may be able to find what ingredient it is that is bothering you so you can avoid it in other products as well. Some times when you avoid something you are allergic to for awhile it is than fine, these are non-fixed allergies. I go to a Naturopath that tests me by way of muscle testing to tell me when I can add my non-fixed allergy food(s) back. If you click on my info I have a link to find a Naturopath. There are homeopathic remedies you can take to recover from an allergic reaction but they shouldn't be used so you can continue eating or drinking these allergens. Go to menu site page and than to the health page to find the homeopathic remedies that I have been given for my allergic reactions. Diane Beer contains wheat. You may have a mild wheat allergy. Anheuser-Busch has created a wheat-free beer for allergy sufferers; read about it at http://www.boston.com/news/local/new_ham... Interestingly, Corona beer does not contain wheat! I am not a beer drinker, but you can do your own search for "wheat-free beer" to help yourself out. I heard about wheat-free Budweiser on the radio! |
