I'm 6 wks along, what can I take for allergies? |
I'm 6 wks along, what can I take for allergies? NOTHING without the ob/gyn's explicit permission. You are in the first trimester of pregnancy. The most rapid period of growth and subseptability for damage at the cellular level. PLEASE, do not take so much as a tylenol without your doctor's advice. That includes herbal supplements too. Really, you can't take anything for allergies that won't affect the baby. They say some meds are safe - but that is simply not the truth. You can take anything you want, but all of it *will* affect the baby. I just put up with my allergies during pregnancy and nursing. it's scary that u would ask people here at yahoo. why not ask your doctor. I would ask your doctor what you can take. Damn near everything is harmful for a baby, so you doc might have to perscribe something for you. Or go to a store and read the backs they will usually say if you can take them when your pregnant. You would have to call the doctors they are the only ones that can tell what is the best thing to take.. Even the pharmacist will tell you the same thing Benadryl.... the little pink pill is safe!!! I took it when i was pregnant with my son! Talk to your doctor. Mine said benydryl was okay occasionally. But check with your doctor first. Everyone's situation is different. |
