Do people get allergies to gerbils?


I was just wondering, because I was allergic to my guinea pig, and I was wondering if there are any allergies known to gerbils? Or is it only for the small animals that shed etc? Because I am thinking about getting one.

My son is very allergic to guinea pigs! But, we have a gerbil and he has no problems with it at all!

They are GREAT pets, get one!
Honestly, people can get allergies to anything. I heard about this one girl who was allergic to water.
Personal experience.
go pet shop.. see if they do the same there..

or just do what i do.. get gold fish.. i'm allergic to cats..
