Should someone w/ nut allergies eat quinoa?

Should someone w/ nut allergies eat quinoa?

Quinoa is an ancient grain. It is described to have a "nutty" taste to it. However, it is not related to nuts. Therefore, an allergy to nuts would not prevent you from eating quinoa.

I am allergic to all nuts but eat quinoa.
that should be okay. Be sure to check the box to make sure that they don't process nut products on the assembly line also.
what is quinoa?!
