Which over the counter allergy pills have the most antihistamines?

I don't know if it has the most but Alavert(sp?) works really good. Source(s): You can get it at Wal-Mart. We use this and we have severe allergies and it helps us greatly!
You'll want to go with Benadryl (spelling?) or Clariton. The most common side-effect is drowsiness.
I also suffer from allergies/hayfever etc and have found that actifed tablets work best for me - drying up the sinuses and making me feel a little better.

Although I am not sure if it contains the most antihistamines, it certainly works a lot better than other brands I have tried.

I prefer the Actifed that tends to make you a little drowsy as its easier to get to sleep at night - however there is also a non-drowsy Actifed tablet as well.
