At what age did Reagan's Alzheimer's disease afflict him?

Was it before he left office?

Reagan had advanced Alzheimer, before he reached his second term. He had a good team around him, covering up and making decisions.
Better then a guy, who has no Alzheimer but a God Complex.

Technically, Alzheimer's started its decay long before Reagan ran for President and got worse every day, but it really didn't effect him in any material way until after he left office. My eyesight is a little worse this year than last and will be worse every year hereafter. It won't affect my ability to drive for many years -- if ever.

Well, it all depends on if you believe his " I don't recall " answers to Iran Contra. Frankly I think he had it when he took office.

1984 at the latest. He had some lapses of memory during the debates with Mondale.
