Is alzheimer's a communicable disease?

yeah. please help.

No its not communicable. And its not an inherited only disease either..My grandma just passed away from this disease a few months ago.No one else in her family had it,she was the first one noted with it..The only forms of Alzheimers disease that is inherited are the early onset forms..Types 1,3 and 4..Researchers dont really have any idea on why most people get Alzheimers disease..If your loved one has this terrible disease, research and get educated on it,you will need all the information you can get..I was a care giver for my grandma up until the day she died from it and it made things easier to know what to expect and all the different stages of it..ALZHEIMERS IS A DISEASE! Thats why it is called Alzheimers DISEASE.

No, it's a kind of severe brain disorder it's not a diseases as those are caused by either bacteria or a virus. Alzheimer's is a break down of the lining of the nerve endings in the brain. When this happens it causes memory lost and confusion. There is a strong genetic component to it but there are things that one can do to help prevent it. Go to Alzheimers.org for information.
