What are some of the things that cause Alzheimer's Disease? There are many reasons as to why Alzheimer's happen. It can be from brain damage, genetics, smoking, a loss of estrogen ( for women), and the buildup of beta amyloid protein in the brain which circulates in our blood and in cerebro-spinal fluid and is deposited into plaques. I just read an article yesterday that is linking it to aluminum...cans, foil, cookware and so on.......it is supposedly true and there are studies to prove it.....pretty scarey. Listening to the doctors for the past 30 years and not eating enough cholesterol. The main causes seem to be age, a genetic component, and some of the factors for heart desease and stroke (high blood preassure, high cholesterol, Ect.) There dosen't seem to be anything that is an absolute cause. It is all just we beleive that this or that play a role. |
