Which vitamin, if taken daily, has been known to improve memory and slow the onset of Alzheimer's disease?


I used to know, but then I ran out of it, and now I can't remember. Sorry... Umm.. what was the question?
If you believe the studies, it's Gingko Biloba. But for every study out there saying it works, there's an equal number that says it doesn't.

If you mean by "know to improve" used in scientific double-blind studies, I don't believe any of them have.
However, there is a memory-loss condition similar in presentation to Alzheimer's which is actually a vitamin deficiency (B12 I think), which is why the first thing doctors do when seeing a patient with signs of dementia and memory loss is to do a blood test to see if it's just a vitamin deficiency.
My dad has Alzheimer's and he sees doctors at Yale who give him the very best of care and they have never told us to give him any kind of extra vitamins.
