Does anyone know weather the medicine to cure the Alzheimer's disease has been invented yet, or not? |
My mother has been suffering of this disease for a couple of years now, and recently, also one of my best firnds, only 33, got it, and is still at initial stages. I heard some 18 months ago that the medicine is invented and is going through the test phase. The meds are indeed in test phase, but it does not cure Alzheimer's, only slows it down... It may not come on the market fast enuff to help you mother, but may help your friend. I have no medical background, but I am more interested in the issue than most people. There is no cure for Alzheimer's disease, and there would not be any for the immediate future. To find a cure, we would need to understand how the brain works, something not known at present. There are medicines said to delay or slow the rate at which the disease progresses, but no cure. |
