Sucess with anti androgens and who prescribes them your ob/gyn or dermatologist?

my dermatologist says i should refer to my obgyn but i was wondering if this is common or is my dermatologist just behind in the times....

Usually anti-androgens are precribe by gynecologists and/or better gynecologist-endocrinologist because most probably you have excess hair grow (hirsutism) which is a symptom (very often) of PCOS which should be treated and monitored by gynecologists.
These are most common simptoms of PCOS:
1. rare menstruations (oligomenorrhea),
2. policyctic ovaries (many/multiple cycts),
3. anovulatiry cycles,
4. infertility,
5. increased hair grow in "not feminine places" (face, breasts, etc.)
6. increased level of testosterone and LH
