I have an anxiety disorder and need help!?

i have a hard time going to school and stuff like that... my mom is making me start a job tomorrow and i keep having pannic attacks... what do i do to make them stop?

i just started medication but it hasnt kicked in yet... they said i need to give it a few weeks. im just confused and dont know what to do!

I feel for ya, talk to a doc.

Wouldn't you also be pissed if I answered your question in the half-assed manner you did on mine, and left a link that has nothing to do with your question?

Nevertheless I'm going to be my normal self. There are really two solutions you have right now, and one of them is to convince your parents that you are having trouble with anxiety disorder and your panic attacks. If they won't listen to you, tell them they don't love you because they don't understand you.

When you are forced to go to your new job and end up getting a panic attack (or repeatedly get panic attacks), the people at your workplace would most certainly notice and take action to help you out - because the behaviours you'll be eliciting probably won't be normal. (I know what social anxiety feels and how it affects your behavior.) And then let's hope they'll convince your parents that YOU NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP.

When you get to your workplace tell everybody that you can't work. A mental disorder is like any other physical illness, and it is wrong to force someone sick to work.

I know this probably isn't the time to be visiting a psychiatrist, but it is best to consult one if you can.

Yes, you need some sort of medication to help you get through the anxiety.

Go to your doctor or physician and tell them you've got anxiety problems. I've got anxiety and I told my doctor, he prescribed me Xanax. That's basically only a temporary solution though.

You may need to seek professional help if the Xanax doesn't help.

EDIT: Most medications will take a few weeks or months to actually kick in.

Good luck.

You can take anti-depressants for panic attacks. They just stabilise you so you don't get worked up about things. You also need to do practice breathing. It sounds pretty naff, but all you need to do is actively calm yourself when you feel yourself getting worked up. I hear exercise is also good for mental health. Just go for a run around the nearest park every couple of days.

just cruise my freind relax dont worry about the small stuff a good routine like work and school every day is a good thing a job is a lot more than a pay check purpose and self esteem can come with it school is a good place too see youre freinds and see new people chill out and you will live a lot longer.
