What are some examples of anxiety disorders? |
I was told not to long ago that I could possibly have an anxiety disorder. Any lists of symptoms or types of disorders would be great. thanks. A few basic ones are: i never knew i had an anxiety problem until i got a blood test. my doctor told me i was very stressed out and i never realized i just kept those thoughts in the back of my head and blocked them out which is a horrible thing to do. i ended up with a terrible ulcer which gave me sever pains for 4 months. i did some research and found some tell tail signs of an anxiety problem and i have almost all of them. grinding of teeth, anti-social, hands shake uncontrollably, when trying to go to sleep so many thoughts in my head i lay in bed for hours. finally i got a prescription from my doctor but that is just a waste of time because the drug was so weak that id be better off becoming an alcoholic and forgetting my thoughts then taking that crap from the doctor. I had agorophobia. Started out with panic attacks, felt like I couldn't breathe, was going to die for no apparant reason. It quickly escalated to the point that I couldn't leave my house. I was a married adult and my mother was the only person that I felt could help me out of these attacks. I made her move in with me and if she had to leave me for any reason I would have a full blown attack. Took me five years and a great doctor to "unlearn" this behavior. If this sounds familiar, please feel free to e-mail me. I'm happy to try to help. Take care. Here are some of the tell-tale signs of possible stress: MedlinePlus I found some interesting information on this site. i know that social anxiety disorder is one |
