How am I going to deal with prom with my social anxiety disorder? |
I was recently diagnosed with it. I managed to ask my crush from another state he is coming. He hasnt called me since nut I'm scared of contacting him. And we have hardly spoken face to face because I'm awkwark for obvious reasons and he is as well(no I did not meet him online). But i don't think we compatible as well when i think about it. And I suspect he has a girlfriend. i cant sleep or anything I would still go to the prom with or without that crush date. Go with a group of your friends and try and stay social. It's when you become more withdrawn that the social anxiety disorder will rule and ruin your life. Go have fun!!! You may be misdiagnosed. Typically people who present with social anxiety disorder would not even consider a social event such as a prom. |
