Do my dogs have an anxiety disorder? |
Ok well we have dogs that live down @ the barn. They r supposed 2 take care of our animals. My dogs r anatolion shepherds if that helps w/ my question. Ok well they r not supposed 2 b attached 2 us but they r. Whenever we leave the barn they go nuts! We have fans 4 our animals and they chew the cords off!!! They also chew feed buckets, and claw the bark off the trees that we have in there. They r just getting out of their puppy stage so i dont think that they should b doing this. Do they have a disorder?Or is this normal 4 my type of dogs? they r kept @ a barn because they r protecting them!! Duh!! where we live there r bears, cayotes, and sometimes even wolves!!! Even if you have working dogs they are never going to be happy if treated as equals with the livestock. Dogs are pack animals and their destiny is intimately linked with that of humans. If they are attached to you that is because they are dogs. Make sure they are getting the exercise they need, the companionship they need from you. Throw a frizbee once a day. Walk them. You don't have to make a mess over them and treat them like a cuddly pet, but they will be unhappy without you. This is a little confusing. You have 2 Anatolian Shepherds, that belong to you, but are kept at a barn? The dogs are not supposed to be attached to you (the owners) but they are? They have access to electrical cords , and other things that they chew? And finally, you think they have a disorder? i think it is normal, especially if they are under 2 yrs old.....plus dogs have feelings and emotions,,,they want alot of attention. if they are freaking out when you leave, that means they want you to stay and play,,,,you just have to work with them a little more.. its normal though....dont worry they dont have a disorder |
