Any one taking Buspar or Busprone(sp?) for Anxiety disorder(s)? |
I've been taking Busprone for generalized anxiety (i've also been diagnosed w/ depression, OCD and prone to eating disorders) and was being inconsistent with taking it for the first few months (started at 15mg 1st 3 mo. than upped to 30mg by my Dr.) than discontinued for a few months b/c side effects and just started taking it consistantly the last few weeks and i plan to untill i meet with my Dr. again. When i was taking the 30mg a day it made me feel dizzy, sleepy and like i had a pillow over my head all the time- i felt like an un-emotional zombie. I started taking 15mg/day for 2 weeks now and it's made it easier to control my obsessive thoughts/worries and i don't get the 30mg/day side effects accept sleepiness sometimes. It has also helped me deal with obsessive thoughts on food and kept me from restricting/binging cycle i go through every few months. I took it for a couple months, it didn't help me at all, it didn't have any side effects for me, in fact I really couldn't even tell I was taking it. But if it helps you stick with it, because its hard to find that right meds that help you in particular the most, good luck and God Bless!! works a bit. Lil side affects, but no biggie. |
