Can a disorder (socia anxiety, social phobia etc) make you scared instead of angry? |
my main question is can social anxiety, social phobia effect how you respond to things, i suffer from social anxiety and before i suffered from it i would reveal my anger when i felt angry now it turns into fear, im not on any meds or anything..so can it change anger into fear? You poor bugger, I suffer from anxiety / panic attacks and it is so scary, and you feel isolated. Yes, it can. Social anxiety and/or social phobia is a pretty common disorder. It can definitely affect you. For instance, if you have to go on a bus to get to work, and you know that one bus is very crowded, someone w/ social phobia would rather be late for work and wait for a bus with less people then go on it (not all people w/ social phobia, though.) I would talk to a doctor about this. They might prescribe some medications for you. And don't feel bad about taking medications. It isn't just for crazy people!! Good luck!! :) yea it can change to fear. you shouldnt let it get out of hand though. go to a doctor and get a correct diagnoses and the right medications so it doesnt interfere with your life I feel for you, I know what its like to have social anxiety. I suggest definately go on medication, its helped me managed it alot. |
