I think I have an anxiety disorder..?

I'm not going to the doctor so if that's your advice I don't wanna hear it. I can sometimes think about certain things happening. Like, me falling over something.. or someone else falling and I can actually see it happening and feel it sort of and it almost makes me shake.. and I am also obsessive. Like with I have a crush on someone it's all I think about.. Everything I do, everything I think about.. I imagine that person being with me.. and what we would do.. I picture us getting married.. like, it's ridiculous. I'm 20 years old..

You're just at a turning point in your life- going from adolescence to adulthood. You're just trying to find your way right now. Things will make sense eventually. Give it time.

It is pretty common to think that something is going to happen and you actually see the scene and live it in your mind. That has happened to me and my friends, so I know that it also happens to a lot of people out there. I just keep most of the things to myself because I don't need unnecessary labels or to be judged by others. It is also common to daydream especially if you are young. The most important thing is that you know that those things are not happening. It would be a problem if you think that you fell over something and then you are not sure if that happened or you imagined it. It would be also bad if you think about a boy and imagine him asking you to marry him and then you spread the news. As long as you always know what is coming from your imagination and what is in fact happening, you will be OK.

i can identify with the obsession with the opposite sex, sitster. i'm twenty eight and haven't found a way around that yet. let me know if you hear something! : )
But i will say this, there is nothing WRONG with needing medicine. We live in a wonderful age where we can live better through chemistry. It doesn't make you crazy. You sound a little like me, and i found out that i have an emotional disorder and the medicines greatly improved my life.

What you're describing doesn't ring a bell in my head for any sort of anxiety disorder.
Not even obsessive compulsive disorder.

There's a difference between being a nervous day dreamer and not being able to function because you have a panic attack every time you pass an open field.

Here is are some links to anxiety disorders, please read before you judge yourself harshly and don't let others judge you so harshly without just cause:

Hey,

i have something like that!!
my advice is to do deep breathing and realaxation!
it works most of the time for me.
Sit there and take a deep breath in through your nose and hold it for about 30 seconds then let it out through you mouth and say the word in your hair: RELAX.

Good luck!
