I have anxiety disorder and am going to start to work? |
I have social anxiety disorder with mild agoraphobia. I have to work since I have some serious debts and now I can't even pay my rent well. I work and I have anxiety....sometimes it's hard for me to go to stores and stuff because I shake so bad. I have generalized anxiety disorder, I've been off work for about 4 months, I'm doing better and going to be going back to work soon, I have found when I'm busy that I am able to shut myself up so I'm not always running different scenarios thru my head to worry about, and that I'm actually more anxious when I'm sitting around doing nothing. I think once you get there and get going you'll be fine. Good luck I wish that you didn't have such a dislike for medication. There is a lot of stuff out there that a good psychopharmacologist could put you on that wouldn't make you sleepy or forgetfull, but just allow you to operate in a busy environment. i havent worked in few years and just started to work and am getting better with things I have been on sikk leave ( in canada it is something our employment insurance pays us to stay home and deal with our illnesses or dissabilities...) for about a year now. My conditions have only gotten worse, when this time was supposed to be to get meds o regimens in order to get better enough to go bakk to work. I am facing goin bakk to work in thenext few months and i am paniced about it as well! I would rather go bakk to school as i think it would build my confidence ( i ended up quitting skule a while bakk due to mental illness and have only half a fine art degree..) I think with anxiety and panic disorders, confidence iz one of the biggest supporters. Maybe you could buy some nice clothes that make yu feel good...or a great new bra! And if medz or therapy isnt yure game, force yureself to do it ...maybe it wont be that bad after all! Good Lukk ! |
