Im suffering from anxiety disorder. Please suggest home remedy.? |
Im suffering from anxiety disorder, predominantly social anxiety. Whenever I go into meeting, parties I tend to sweat a lot. Can you please suggest me some simple exercises which will help me control it to certain extent. Facing the situation may perhaps be the only home remedy to get over the type of anxiety disorder mentioned by you, but only after excluding all possible conditions like diabetes, hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, menopausal syndrome in females etc., please. I talk to myself before I go to a social place and tell myself positive things. I know it sounds like I'm crazy but it helps a lot. If you know that you are going to be in a situation full of stress, it can be helpful to visualize yourself there and rehearse what you might say. It makes it less scary because you are familiarizing yourself with the situation. I would get some of the new prescription strength deodorants, make sure you are breathing slowly and steadily and remember that nobody will ever judge you as harshly as you judge yourself, so be kind! Try deep breathing (breathe in for 8, hold it for a count of 8, exhale for a count of 8 feeling your body relax) Melatonin is great for anxiety. Doing a heavy metal cleanse would be good too because these toxins can build up on the nerve endings. There is a balancing breath in Yoga called Nadi Sudi (sp) breathing that also helps with symptoms of anxiety. Namaste. Liz. I'd start taking Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc supplements every day (it's a combined tablet). Eat a balanced diet. Get outside and get some sunshine and exercise every day. I think anxiety is like any other fear--you have to face it and make the best of the situation. What's the worst that could happen--so you get sweaty--take a shower and change clothes before and after. I'm shy, too, but force yourself, for your own good. Please talk to your doctor. Try meditation or Yoga. |
