Can people with social anxiety disorder make decent money?

I'd really like to pull in at least $100k yearly. I'm signed up for a good college this Fall, but it's going to take a lot to make myself go. I have the dedication and intelligence, but I lack social skills and suffer from social anxiety (not simple shyness). Therapists and meds can only help so much. My question is basically, "Can people with social anxiety feasibly have a high income?" I'd really appreciate advice. Thanks a lot.

don't give into the anxiety. you dont want to get worse do you? get out there and fight what your scared of little by little. then you can earn some money and be happy in social situations too (:

I understand the $100K desire but I can tell you that I live in a low-income area and happiness down here is more to do with making sure you have people around you that love you and not giving in to vices like drugs, alcohol or eating so much you get huge. When you consider some of the rich people in America I'm sure you can find a way to make it there no matter what your challenge but stay true to your heart first buddy - make sure it is really you that has set this money goal and not some part of the society-social pressure you speak of. God Bless.

Are you giving up? You have the help...get out there and do what it takes to get better. Yes you need to continue your college plans...that is essential in your healing. And no, you are not screwed in anyway. It's up to you now.

I think you should take Psychology, looks like you would be good at helping people with their problems and it is good money.

go in to finance.. or something that will allow you to work from home.. only having the phone to communicate...

Yes, they can. Though I encourage you to seek help. Having social anxiety is a terrible way to go through life. Good luck!
