What is generalized anxiety disorder? Can prozac or zoloft be used to treat it?

Just a case of general anxiety-you know, feeling weird, like you want to run, heart palpatations. Prozac and zoloft are generally used for depression, but, look them up online or call your local pharmacist, they know, and see. I know someone who uses a new drug called: Lexapro. I have it, it's when you feel anxious all the time and/or have repeated thoughts that are stressfull like thinking of when you'll die over and over and getting yourself all worked up over silly little things. I use Zoloft and therapy. It changed my life for the better!
They kind of hand in hand with a general nerve medication such as xanax ect.I was only on xans for years keot getting worse and being on paxil helped more.Warning they make you gain weight! thats a fact...

General anxiety is being anxious all the time and sometimes having panic attacks which are no fun you feel like you are a heart attack and can't breathe. Being on a anti depressant like prozac or zoloft can help I take Effexor and I use xanax for anxiety. I also talk to a therapist that helps alot too. See your Dr. and tell him your symptoms, Good Luck
You don't need medication to cure anxiety.
