I suffer from anxiety disorder -? |
any good advice ? I also suffer from anxiety disorder...Out of the blue, for no apparent reason, my body would start feeling hot, heart pounding, short of breath and sick, really sick. I went to the doctor because I didn't know why I was doing this, I couldn't figure out what the trigger was that would cause me to start feeling this way. I still don't know why, I felt that way. What I do know is, the doctor put me on a very light does of Paxil (20mg), an anti-depressant, and I haven't been experiencing these awful symptoms. I am a very strong individual and it was very difficult for me to grasp the fact that I didn't have complete control over my own body. But, at the same time, I couldn't function effectively knowing that these weird reactions could crop up on me at anytime. Go to the doctor and let him/her know all of the things that you are feeling....They will be able to help you!!! Best of luck and I hope you feel better soon. This is an awful experience that no one should have to live with...... Source(s): I have it too! Learn about it, get counseling to help you cope and relieve stress. Try to avoid things that set you off, also work on improving. I have anxiety but it's something you have to live with so dont fight it! i suffer from anxiety too. i find journaling very helpful for me. also counseling is a good thing too. hope this helps. I have lots of anxiety and I go to counselling and take medicine for it. Your counsellor can help you with ways to decrease your anxiety for whatever it is and maybe you need to take medicine for it. Talk to a doctor and a counsellor. Find out more and go see a doctor. Sometimes seeing a psychologist can help. If it gets really unbearable, take to your doctor about medication. In the case of anxiety, you sometimes need to take the drug for only a few years. Try finding ways to relax : meditation, yoga, reading, video games, go-cart...whatever works for you. If it makes you physically sick, go see a doctor. Good-luck experience |
