How do u get diagnosised with anxiety disorder? |
how do u get diagnosis and is a panic attack apart of anxeity disorder or are they 2 different things you need to talk to a local phyciatrist.. they're part of the same thing. My wife has suffered from panic attacks for years.. she's on meds now that are helping. Just don't forget you can overcome it. My mother suffered from attacks so bad she couldn't leave the house.... with a lot of love hard work and determination she hasn't had an attack in years. If you wanna talk give me a yell, Thrawn525 Panic attacks can be a part of anxiety disorder. You should talk to a doctor and tell them your symptoms and they will give you a diagnose you. To get diagnosed, you need to be seen by a specialist. Panic attack can be part of anxiety disorder, but they are not the same thing. Go to your doctor. There are several options open for treatment of anxiety and panic attacks. But don't be too quick to label yourself (if it is you you're talking about!) Panic attacks are caused by anxiety but not necessarily anxiety disorder. You need to see a psychiatrist or physician to be diagnosed with anything. It is not wise to self diagnose or ask anyone unfamilar with your history. Well they are classified as the same. Because anxiety attack is when you are in a panic for what ever reason. Anxiety Disorder comes along with panic attacks. That's what the doctor ruled it out as, you going through Anxiety disorder. And how i know because i had that and my psychiatrist told me so,i try to help people who going through the same because i learned alot. Yes panic attacks are part of anxiety disorder. To be diagnosed, you need to see a psychiatrist/psychologist. You need to be put on medication that will help you deal with your stress- which is what usually triggers the panic attacks. You may want to see your family doc first since it's easier to get an appointment with him and he will refer you to a psychiatrist. In the meantime, if you have an attack before seeing a doc, have someone DRIVE you to the ER. Do not DRIVE while having an attack- you will endanger yourself and others--- once on medication (im on meds for the same), you dont experience the severe attacks anymore-- good luck. |
